SL Mont is currently involved with two big projects in Finland: Olkiluoto 3 (OL3) Nuclear Power plant and turnaround at Neste’s refinery in Porvoo. Our teams have been present in Finland from 2020, primarily in OL3, the world’s third most powerful nuclear power generation unit with a net electrical output of 1.6GW.  Our contribution to the nuclear sector in Finland will continue in the following months.

Since April, we have 20 additional colleagues involved in the shutdown (April-June) of the entire Porvoo refinery. SL Mont have also been awarded the maintenance work after the closure of the shutdown with a new contract until the end of the year.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we have chosen to highlight two of our female colleagues who work in a sector considered as male-dominated: our engineers Tanja Giljanovic and Dubravka Svast. They are part of our engineering team that is working on the largest nuclear project currently under construction in Europe, Hinkley Point C nuclear power station (HPC). Today, we celebrate their journeys, their accomplishments, and recognize their pivotal role in our shared success. Let’s honor their contributions and the contributions of all our colleagues in all departments from HR to Finance and Legal. SL Mont will continue to support the growth and success of every woman in our team, continuing to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace.

After weeks of hard work, coordinated efforts and unwavering determination, we are proud to announce that our shutdown in the SARA refinery in Lamentin (Martinique – French Caribbean) has come to an end. It was the first project of this type in the Caribbean Sea and our pirates have as always respected our commitments: Safety and customer satisfaction. Regarding safety, our team was rewarded with a recognition directly from the SARA refinery which gives us enormous pleasure, because as always, the safety and wellbeing of our colleagues remains our top priority.

The Lamentin refinery and terminal make it possible to produce, store and make petroleum products available in Martinique, but also to ship all these products to Guadeloupe and Guyana. The SARA refinery units now shine like jewels polished by the expert hands of seasoned professionals.

In the sparkling surroundings of the Sheraton Hotel in Zagreb, the spectacular Gala evening of the ITA CRO Business Awards 2023. At this year’s event, a special award was given to SL Mont d.o.o.. The award was received by its founder Slavica Rogic Rade who said, “this recognition is for all our employees and we are all looking forward to future challenges”. The award was given by the Italian Ambassador to Croatia, H.E. Pierfrancesco Sacco and by the president of the Italian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce, Aldo di Biagio. The event was also attended by the Croatian minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman, the Vice president of the Croatian Parliament Furio Radin and the president of the board of Italian Union Marin Corva.

In September SL Mont began working on the new Biotech Plant in Savski Marof located near the capital city of Zagreb. SL Mont with his client, is responsible for the installation of approx. 17,000m of piping, primary and secondary supports, over 70to of steel construction and the complete modularization of the pipe racks. The plant will be designed to produce innovative medicines for treating rare diseases, which will be exported to 50 markets around the world, once operational. The production facility will be equipped with high-tech technology and will measure almost 4,000 square meters and cover 11 hectares.

Welcome aboard to our new guys and girls which will form the new engineering team that will take care of the construction project of the new Hinkley Point C nuclear power station (HPC). With this new addition, we now have more than 30 engineers that are part of the most important nuclear project under construction in Europe. Starting next Year SL Mont will participate in this project with blue collar teams for which we opened a branch office in England.

SL Mont was recently awarded a new contract by XERVON Instandhaltung GmbH, part of the REMONDIS Group, one of the world’s five largest privately owned water and recycling companies with 38,000 employees. SL Mont is taking part with several teams that are involved in the pre-assembly and assembly work for the project related to the renovation of the mild hydrocracker unit of Bayernoil’s Neustadt refinery in southern Germany after a fire at the facility a few months ago.
